Resident Out Thousands Due To Burglary
A local resident reported to authorities last week that a burglar had made off with thousands of dollars worth of her property.
The victim, age 50, reported to Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies that a burglar had come onto the Sanders Lane property, stealing several tool boxes and tools from a storage building, a twenty-foot trailer, a six-foot chain link fence, and mini Harley Davidson motorcycle.
In addition to losses, the victim reported she had incurred approximately $25,000 in damages. Total loss was estimated to be $31,900.
Deputies took into evidence a cigarette butt and screwdriver the victim said had been left on her property. They are continuing to investigate the crime.
